Biography

Actionslacks, an American indie rock band, was formed in 1994 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The group released their first single, "Tugboat Mutiny" b/w "A.C.R.O.N.Y.M." in 1995, followed by their debut album Too Bright, Just Right, Good Night in 1996 on the Skene! label. Their second LP, One Word, was released in 1998 by Arena Rock Recording Company and featured collaborations with Harvey Danger and Death Cab for Cutie. The band's third album, The Scene's Out of Sight, was recorded in 1999 and released in 2001 by the Self-Starter Foundation. Actionslacks continued to release albums including Full Upright Position (2003) and Kids With Guitars (2009). The band's music was featured in various television shows, video games, and commercials.
