Biography

Motor Sister is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles. The idea emerged in late 2013 when Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian wished to reunite his favorite band, Mother Superior, for his 50th birthday and perform with them. This led to the formation of Motor Sister, featuring Jim Wilson on vocals and guitar, Joey Vera on bass, and John Tempesta on drums. The band released their debut album Ride in March 2015 under Metal Blade Records, recorded live over two days. Despite positive reception, the band played only a few concerts due to members' commitments to other projects. In May 2022, Motor Sister released their second studio album, Get Off, after a lengthy recording process disrupted by the COVID‑19 pandemic.
