Moggs Motel is a British hard rock band founded in 2024 by Phil Mogg, iconic singer of the band UFO, after his retirement from the stage with the latter. Wishing to pursue a more intimate, contemporary adventure, Mogg surrounded himself with seasoned musicians from the British rock scene: guitarist Tommy Gentry (Gun), bassist Tony Newton (Voodoo Six), drummer Joe Lazarus and keyboardist Neil Carter, former bandmate of UFO and Gary Moore. The band developed a melodic, classic hard rock, faithful to the heritage of the 1970s and 1980s, but refreshed by modern production and more personal songwriting. Their namesake debut album, Moggs Motel (2024), combines powerful riffs, catchy choruses and Mogg's signature expressive vocals.
