Biography

Mob Rules is a German power metal band founded in 1994 in Schortens, Lower Saxony. The band plays melodic, anthemic metal with epic arrangements and focuses on strong melodies, sophisticated guitar work and narrative song structures. Mob Rules currently consists of Klaus Dirks (vocals), Sven Lüdke (guitar), Florian Dyszbalis (guitar), Jan Christian Halfbrodt (keyboards), Markus Brinkmann (bass) and Sebastian Schmidt (drums). The band was founded in 1994 and developed from musicians from the regional scene; early members include Matthias Mineur, Thorsten Plorin and Arved Mannott. Well-known albums and selected releases in chronological order: Savage Land (1999), Temple of Two Suns (2000), Hollowed Be Thy Name (2002), Among the Gods (2004), Ethnolution A.D. (2006), Radical Peace (2009), Cannibal Nation (2012), Tales From Beyond (2016), Beast Reborn (2018, number 37 in Germany). In 2025, the album Rise of the Ruler was released and climbed to number 62 in the German charts.
