Biography
DJ, producer and composer, Michael Kouroubacalis aka MkX is a master of pop, electro and R&B. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, he learned to play guitar at the age of six and formed a duo with his sister Marissa on drums, which produced the 2008 album Kicking It Together and the 2010 EP It's Like That. After a taste of the live scene, opening for artists such as Cody Simpson, Greyson Chance, David Archuleta, Christina Perri and Rixton, the duo Michael & Marissa ceased appearances, leaving the former to study electronics, production and sound design at Berklee College of Music. It was under the pseudonym MkX that he returned in 2017 with the single "The Look", followed by "Ghost" and "One Sided Love" in 2018. Skilled as a producer and performer, he went on to sign tracks acclaimed on social networks such as "Bright Side" (2023), "Man on a Mission" (2024) and "Want U Bad", which reached number 39 in the Dance Songs Airplay and Radio Dance & Mix Show Songs charts in 2025.
