Biography

The Miracle Workers were an American garage rock band from Portland, Oregon, formed in January 1982 by Gerry Mohr (vocals) and Joel W. Barnett (bass). They released their debut EP Miracle Workers in 1984. The band gained traction with their first LP Inside Out in 1985, produced by Greg Shaw and licensed for European release by Closer Records. In 1986, the group relocated to Los Angeles, leading to personnel changes including the addition of Robert Butler on bass. Their subsequent albums Overdose in 1987 and Primary Domain in 1989 showcased a shift towards proto-punk and hard rock influences. The band toured extensively in Europe during the late 1980s, building a strong fanbase. They released the live album Live at the Forum in 1988, the compilation Moxie's Revenge in 1989, and the album Roll Out the Red Carpet in 1991. Despite internal conflicts and drug issues, The Miracle Workers released their final album Anatomy of a Creep in 1995 after splitting up in 1992.
