Min Hyo-rin (real name ì ìë, born 5 February 1986 in Daegu, Republic of Korea) is a South Korean actress, model, and singer whose early background began in modeling for the clothing brand Flapper in 2006, after which she adopted her stage name. She released her debut single "RinZ" on 18 May 2007 and followed with the single "Touch Me" on 14 March 2008, both under the labels Star Fox and Yedang Entertainment. Her music career was complemented by appearances in music videos for Park Ki-young and F.T. Island, and promotional stunts that featured large teaser posters across Seoul. The pivotal breakthrough in her acting career came with the 2011 film Sunny, a highâgrossing boxâoffice hit, and the subsequent period comedy The Grand Heist in 2012, where she coâstarred with Cha Taeâhyun; both films solidified her status in Korean cinema. Min continued to diversify, starring in the television drama Romance Town (2011) and participating in the reality show Fox's Butler with singer Seven, while hosting Mnetâs Trend Report Feel from 2010 to 2011. She signed with Plum Entertainment in March 2017 after her contract with JYP Entertainment ended, and later that year appeared in the twoâepisode drama The Happy Loner and the cycling film Uhm Bokâdong. In her personal life, Min entered a relationship with singer Taeyang from Big Bang in 2013, married him on 3 February 2018, and welcomed a son in November 2021.
