Biography

Mimi Fox, born on August 24, 1956 in Queens, New York, is an American jazz guitarist and educator. Inspired by the Monkees and the Beatles, she taught herself to play the guitar at age 10. In 1995, she released Turtle Logic, followed by notable albums such as Kicks (1999), Standards (2001), and Live at the Palladium (2011). Throughout her career, Mimi Fox has collaborated with guitarists and artists such as Charlie Byrd, Martin Taylor, and Jim Hall. She has also taught at institutions like the University of California, Berkeley, and New York University.
