Biography
The rapper and singer of Moroccan descent was born in France and moved to Germany in 2018. Milano was already interested in music as a child and was particularly enthusiastic about soul, jazz and R&B. At the age of 15, he discovered French hip-hop and started rapping. When he came to Dortmund in 2018, he gave himself the stage name Milano and was soon discovered by rapper Sinan-G, who signed the Frenchman to a contract. Milano's first single is called "Très jolie" and is released in 2019 together with fellow rapper Rooz. Milano finally achieved his first chart success in 2020 with the song "Ich weiss" (No. 42). The song "Maria" with rapper Mika, which contains parts from the Santana song of the same name, also reached the German charts in 2020. At the end of 2020, Milano signs a contract with Vertigo Records. in 2021, his singles "Fallschirm", "Ohne Dich" and "Leer" hit the charts again. Milano raps mainly in German, but often with French parts.
