Biography

Born in San Diego in 1967, Michael Andrews seized his chance when he was asked to compose the music for the film Donnie Darko, released in 2002. His cover version with Gary Jules of the Tears for Fears track "Mad World" climbed to the top of the English charts and established the career of the multi-instrumentalist who had previously signed his work under the name Elgin Park. This opportunity opened the door to a long series of soundtracks, including Stuck on You (2004), Me and You and Everyone You Know (2005), Funny People (2009) and Sex Tape (2014). Also an actor and producer, Michael Andrews has worked on albums by Gary Jules, Brendan Benson, Metric, Inara George and DJ Greyboy.
