Biography

Cole Stevenson, known professionally as Merkules, was born in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. He began his music career at age 15 under the name Merk Mikz and later met Snak the Ripper, joining his tour as a hype man before collaborating on music in 2011. At 16, Stevenson was attacked and received permanent facial scars, an event that inspired his 2014 album Scars. His early releases included Canadian Bacon (2012) and Bacon Bits EP (2012). Merkules released several notable albums including Hunger Pains (2013), Trust Your Gut (2017), and Cole (2018). In May 2019, he was set to tour with Gucci Mane but dropped out. His album Special Occasion, released in October 2019, featured the song "Bass," which appeared in the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. Merkules has had over 900,000 monthly listeners on Spotify as of 2023.
