Marc Tophoven, known as MC Smook, and born on September 30, 1992, in Issum, Germany, is a rapper known for his politically charged lyrics. He began rapping during his elementary school years and released his first recording at the age of 14. In 2014, MC Smook gained national attention when Money Boy featured him on a remix of "Kola mit Ice", leading to collaborations with members of the Glo Up Dinero Gang. His debut album Bereit zu leben was released in September 2015 and received positive reviews from Juice magazine. MC Smook has collaborated with the non-profit organization Viva con Agua on a remix of "Wasser ohne Sprudel" (2019) in 2020 and Juicy Süà on the album Max & Moritz (2023).
