MC Mãe is the stage name of Brazilian funk singer Angelita Alves Valentim, a funkeira from the Belo Horizonte region who began performing in local bailes and community events around Contagem, Minas Gerais, before moving into studio recordings in the late 2010s. Her earliest releases included the digital single "Joga Nele" in 2018, which captured her straight-talking, explicitly adult lyrical style. In the early 2020s she started working closely with her son, producer and DJ Helberth Valentim, known as DJ Betim ATL, and together they developed a live and studio show built around her improvised verses over heavy funk de quebrada beats. This collaboration crystallised in 2024 with the first "Medley da Mc Mãe" releases, continuous mixes that stitched together her signature rhymes and quickly gained traction on YouTube, social media, and streaming platforms. In 2025, the project expanded into a full series with tracks like "Medley da Mc Mãe 03," "Medley da Mc Mãe 05" and "Medley Da Mc Mãe 07" while she appeared on high-impact collaborations including "Mtg - Sexo Sem Preconceito, na Branca e na Preta" with DJ Betim ATL and MC GW and "Fada do Tesão" with DJ Betim ATL and MC WM.
