Biography

Matthias Tanzmann, born in 1977 in Leipzig, Germany, is a German DJ and producer. He studied at the Bauhaus University Weimar and began his career in the techno scene during the 1990s. In 1997, he became a resident DJ at the Distillery club in Leipzig and co-founded the project Gamat 3000 with Daniel Scholz, releasing tracks like "Feeling Love" on Freude am Tanzen. In 2000, Tanzmann established Moon Harbour Recordings with AndrÃ© Quaas, which has since released over 200 EPs, albums, and compilations featuring artists such as CamelPhat and Steve Bug. His debut solo album Restless was released in 2008, followed by Momentum in 2016 and Round and Round in 2019. Tanzmann has also been a resident DJ at Circoloco events at DC10 in Ibiza since 2007 and has performed at major festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra.
