Mashina Vremeni is a Russian rock band from Moscow that formed in 1969. The ensemble was founded by Andrey Makarevich and Sergey Kawagoe, originally performing English-language songs under the name Time Machines. Makarevich signed the group with the state promotion agency Rosconcert in 1979. During the 1980s and 1990s, the band released the studio albums V dobriy chas (1986), Reki i mosty (1987), and Medlennaya khoroshaya muzyka (1991). Their discography includes the tracks âPoka gorit svechaâ and âPovorotâ, the latter of which stayed on the charts for 13 months, including seven months at Number 1. Their repertoire includes elements of classic rock, blues, and bard's song. Their later recordings include the studio album V metre (2020) and the EP Poi so mnoi! (2025).
