Mariya Ocheretianskaya, known professionally as Mary Ocher, was born on November 10, 1986, in Moscow. She began her music career at 14 with a studio recording alongside Idan Raichel. In Tel Aviv, Ocher formed Mary and The Baby Cheeses, gaining local attention before moving to Berlin. Her first solo album was War Songs (2011), initially sold on the streets. Ocher's second album, EDEN (2013), featured collaborations with King Khan and ranked Number 12 in Intro Magazine's list of Albums of The Year. Subsequent releases included The West Against The People (2017) on Klangbad, which was listed as number 51 on Bandcamp's "100 Best Albums of 2017". Ocher performed in over 30 countries and released notable works such as Approaching Singularity: Music for The End of Time (2023) and Your Guide to Revolution (2024).
