Biography
Maris Racal is a Filipina actress and singer-songwriter who emerged into the public spotlight after taking part in the Philippines version of the TV reality show, `Big Brother'. Racal was voted into second place by the audience of `Pinoy Big Brother' and during the show's run built up a sizeable following of fans who became collectively known as the 'Mariestellers'.
Prior to appearing on the show Racal was already an accomplished musician and proficient on the guitar and piano. After the show had finished Racal capitalised on her new found celebrity by signing up with Star Magic, one of the Philippines biggest talent agencies. Star Magic immediately began to promote the artist as an actor and after having built up public awareness through numerous TV appearances Racal began to concentrate on her music career.
2018 proved to be her breakthrough year with a string of hits including the two chart-topping singles 'Tala' and 'Ikaw Lang Sapat Na'.
