Biography

Born in the Aude region of France, singer Marie Audigier made her name in 1991 with a debut mini-album on the Belgian label Les Disques du Crépuscule. The seven-song, untitled album, produced by Jean-Louis Murat, includes a French cover of the famous ballad "Dream a Little Dream of Me", between a piece of "ligne claire" rock ("L'Orage") and jazz-tinged ballads ("Étangs secrets"). Entitled "Rêve un peu de moi", this adaptation differs from the one performed the previous year by Enzo Enzo under the title "Les Yeux ouverts". Two years later, the single "Paroles en l'air" heralded the release of the second album Ces Étés (1993), recorded with the same team of musicians including guitarists Alain Bonnefont and Denis Clavaizolle. This latest collection by the author, composer, singer, producer and performer was part of the pop-rock movement of the 1990s, which saw the emergence of new independent artists. Marie Audigier's career continued in the music industry, first with the Naïve label, of which she became General Manager, then in artistic management with the founding of ODJ Music and Agence MAA.
