Marco Antonio Muñiz Vega, known as Marco Antonio Muñiz, was born in 1933 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He began his musical career at a young age, initially performing in cabarets and prostÃbulos before joining the Conjunto Tropical Veracruz. In 1959, Muñiz embarked on a solo career with songs like "Luz y Sombra" and "Escándalo", performing at venues such as the Teatro Blanquita in Mexico City. Throughout his career, he released numerous albums including Celoso (1967), Canta Lo Romantico (1991), and Un Marco Para Dos Idolos Pedro Infante Y Javier Solis (2008). Muñiz's music spanned various genres, including Latin and traditional music. He gained significant popularity in Puerto Rico, where his influence led to the naming of singer Marc Anthony after him. Muñiz also collaborated with notable artists such as Oswaldo Oropeza and Juan Vicente Torrealba, releasing albums like Venezuela en la música de Juan Vicente Torrealba (1967). His career spanned over six decades, marked by extensive tours across Latin America, the United States, and Spain.
