Marcel is an American country singer-songwriter and music video director who began his career as a semi-professional hockey player. In 2003, he signed with Mercury Nashville and released his debut album, You, Me, and the Windshield, which featured the Billboard-charting single "Country Rock Star." During a hiatus from recording, he established himself as a successful songwriter, co-penning the number-one hit "Nothin' to Lose" for Josh Gracin and the top-20 single "There's More to Me Than You" for Jessica Andrews. Marcel signed with Lyric Street in 2008, releasing the single "I Love This Song," before moving to the Red Stripe Plane label to release his second album, Believin' (2009). A prolific director, he has helmed over thirty music videos for various country artists, including Scotty McCreery and Clay Walker.
