Biography
Marbelle, is a Colombian singer, TV host and actress who was born in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca in 1980. She stepped into the limelight early, becoming interested in singing at the age of four and entering numerous regional competitions under the guidance of her mother, performing under the stage name 'Estrellita Romántica'.
Her debut album, 'Collar de Perlas', came in 1996 and proved a commercial success in Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador and the USA. The follow-up albums, 'Amor Sincero' (1997), 'El Tumbo' (1998) and 'Hasta que te ConocÃ' (2000), also proved modest successes.
In the mid-'00s Marbelle became a judge and mentor on 'El factor X', the Colombian version of Britain's 'The X-Factor', and in 2007 she made her debut as an actress in the soap opera 'Marido a Sueldo'.
In the meantime, she had released the album 'Ahora' (2005) and in 2010 released 'Amor Sincero 2'. A prolonged absence from recording followed, but in 2020 Marbelle released the single 'Adicta al Dolor'.
