Mandy Kane, born September 22, 1981, in Australia, is a singer known for her work across pop and indie. She began her career playing in high school rock bands and later worked part-time jobs to purchase a four-track recorder, inspired by icons such as David Bowie, Gary Numan, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd. Michael Newton of Roundhouse Entertainment discovered Mandy Kane and helped secure a publishing deal with Mushroom Music and a signing with Warner Music Australasia. Mandy Kane's debut single "Stab" was released in July 2003, peaking at Number 18 on the ARIA charts. Her single "Billy Bones" followed in October 2003, which reached Number 27 on the ARIA charts. The third single "Stupid Friday" peaked at Number 36 in March 2004. Mandy Kane's debut album Tragic Daydreams, released in April 2004, reached Number 79 on the ARIA Charts. She toured extensively with her original line-up and played a showcase gig at the Australian premiere of The Matrix Revolutions. In 2006, Mandy Kane formed Mummy's Boy Records (later renamed The Majestika Creative) and released the EP Murder in the Daylight, which included the single "(UK) Hanky Panky". Notable releases include the EPs Darkness & Divine (2015) and Runestones & Keymasters (An Oratorio) (2023).
