Biography

Malford Milligan, born March 29, 1959 in Taylor, Texas, is an American singer known for his soul, blues and gospel vocals. He joined the band Storyville in 1994, contributing to albums like Bluest Eyes (1993) and A Piece of Your Soul (1996). After Storyville disbanded in 2000, Milligan became a session singer for artists such as Eric Johnson. His solo career began with Sweet Cherry Soul (2002), followed by several albums with The Malford Milligan Band. He has won eight Austin Music Awards for Best Vocalist and was named the Best Male Vocalist of the Decade by The Austin Chronicle in 2000. In 2017, he began singing with The Southern Aces band and released Life Will Humble You (2018) and I Was a Witness (2021).
