Maisie Hannah Peters was born on May 28, 2000 in Steyning, in the county of West Sussex, southern England. She began her career by starting to stream original songs online in August 2015. It would be another two years before she released her first singles, "Place We Were Made" and "Birthday". However, fame didn't come until 2018, when she signed with the UK subsidiary of Atlantic Records, which launched her with the release of "Worst of You". This was a huge success on music platforms. Several singles followed, such as "Best I'll Ever Sing", then after the release of the Dressed too Nice for a Jacket EP in 2018, tracks like "Stay Young" and "Favorite Ex" in 2019. The same year sees the release of a second EP called It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral. Following this, Maisie Peters appears on the Birds of Prey film soundtrack with her song "Smile", and releases several other singles, including "Adore You" and "Daydreams" in 2020 and "John Hughes Movie" (No. 92) in 2021. The latter, along with the single "Psycho" (no. 57), appeared that same year on the album You Signed Up for This, which reached no. 2 in the UK charts. Several other singles followed, in very different styles, such as "Cate's Brother", "Blonde" and "Not Another Rockstar" in 2022, or "Body Better" and "Lost the Breakup", taken from her second album The Good Witch, which topped the UK charts in 2023. In 2025, a new series of tracks arrives with "You You You", "Audrey Hepburn" and "Say My Name in Your Sleep", followed by "My Regards" and "Kingmaker" with Julia Michaels in 2026. All these tracks form part of the third Florescence album, which also includes a collaboration with Marcus Mumford on "If You Let Me".
