M1NU, born on September 26, 2003, is a Korean rapper who gained recognition through Show Me the Money 8. He also appeared on Show Me the Money 9 but was eliminated in the second preliminary round, and finished in the top 24 on High School Rapper 4, despite high expectations. Early in his career, up until his appearance on Show Me the Money 8 in late 2019, his rap style was characterized by a sharp, resonant tone with a raspy, intense delivery, often scratching his throat. Starting around 2020, he gradually shifted to a smoother, groove-oriented rap style focused on clear pronunciation. His voice is somewhat husky, and he is highly praised for his solid fundamentals. Initially, trap was his main genre, but after changing his rap style, he now predominantly produces boom bap music. Recently, he has been experimenting with sounds like trap, drill, and lo-fi, likely studying international hip-hop styles to incorporate into his own. His single "Hey (feat. Chiaki Mayumura)," released on May 17, 2025, entered Melonâs Top 500 chart at number 373 on June 1.
