Jae Rae-won, known professionally as Layone, was born on November 13, 2001, in Ulsan, South Korea, and began his career as a rapper. After gaining visibility on Show Me The Money 8, he signed with the hipâhop label OUTLIVE founded by Basick; the contract ended on June 30, 2022, after which he joined Cosm under Cosmic Boy. Layoneâs debut EP Fixiboy was released on September 23, 2019, featuring singles such as "Slow Heartbeat" and "Birds Fight To Come Out of Eggs". His second EP, ITAEWON, followed on September 15, 2020, with the hit "Sunflower". In 2025, he released the single "Foxiboy" on April 18. Layone achieved a notable third-place finish on Show Me The Money 9, and his work has been recognized for its impact on the Korean rap scene, marking him as a significant contemporary artist in the genre. His EP Origin, released on November 13, 2022, entered Korea's Top 100 albums chart at rank 79 on the week of December 7, 2025.
