Daniel Hůlka, born Daniel Hulka on June 1, 1968, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, is an actor and baritone known for his performances in musical theatre, film, and opera. He studied at the Prague Conservatory and briefly at the Academy of Performing Arts. Hůlka's breakthrough came with his portrayal of the title role in Karel Svoboda's 1995 musical Dracula. His career flourished as he took on leading roles in various operas, including Escamilio in Georges Bizetâs Carmen and Don Giovanni in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozartâs eponymous opera. He released his debut solo album, Daniel Hůlka, in 1997. Hůlka has received numerous accolades, including multiple Äeský slavÃk awards and the AndÄl Award for Best Singer in 1997. His film career includes roles in movies like Z pekla Å¡tÄstà (1999). He also released several other albums, including Rozhovor (2000).
