Biography

Luca Canonici, born on September 22, 1960, in Montevarchi, Italy, is an opera singer who has had a significant career both in Europe and his native Italy. He made his debut at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma in 1985 as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto. Canonici performed at leading opera houses and concert halls, including La Scala, Covent Garden, and the Vienna State Opera. In 2010, he participated in the 60th Sanremo Music Festival, winning second place, and later crossed over into pop music with the album Italia, amore mio. His operatic discography includes recordings such as La sonnambula, Don Pasquale, and Falstaff conducted by Georg Solti.
