Biography

Maria Luisa Colombo (born July 3, 1952), known professionally as Lu Colombo, is an Italian Italo disco singer from Milan. Colombo began her career as a backing vocalist with the group Stormy Six and as a member of the trio Plastic Doves. In 1981, Colombo released the recording "Maracaibo", followed by "Skipper" in 1982. Colombo signed with EMI Italiana and performed the recording "Dance All Nite" at the event Festivalbar in 1983, winning the competition Disco Estate. Colombo performed the recording "Aurora" at Festivalbar in 1984 and won the Saint Vincent Festival in 1985 with the recording "Rimini Ouagadougou". After collaborating with Maurizio Geri on the album L'uovo di Colombo (2003), Colombo released the album Molto più di un buon motivo in 2012. In 2016, she released the EP Basta. Colombo released the recordings "Ali ali" and "Neve al sole" in 2020.
