Biography

Lowen & Navarro, a songwriting team composed of David Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro, formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1987. The pair initially gained recognition as songwriters, penning "We Belong" for Pat Benatar in 1984 and contributing to David Lee Roth's gold-certified album A Little Ain't Enough with the track "Hammerhead Shark" in 1991. Their debut album, Walking on a Wire, was released in 1990. Throughout their career, Lowen & Navarro released numerous albums, including Broken Moon (1993), Pendulum (1995), and Live Radio (2002). In March 2004, David Eric Lowen was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), leading to the duo's cessation of touring by June 2009. Lowen passed away on March 23, 2012. A tribute album titled Keep The Light Alive: Celebrating The Music of Lowen & Navarro was released in 2009, featuring performances by various artists and benefiting ALS-related charities.
