Biography
Louise Bessette, born June 20, 1959 in Montreal, Canada, is a pianist. She trained at the Conservatoire de musique du Quebec à Montréal and was made a member of the Order of Canada for her contributions to contemporary music in 2001. Notable albums include Rhythm'n Flute (1996), Mozart et les Oiseaux (1998), and Hommage à François Dompierre (2023). Her career also included notable achievements such as being named an Officer of the National Order of Quebec in 2005 and receiving the Opus Award for Performer of the Year in 2014. In 2019, she was awarded the Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award from the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.
