Biography

Louisa John-Krol, born in Australia, is a Melbourne-based singer known for her romantic folk and pop music. Her career began with the release of Argo in 1996. Over the years, she released several albums, including Alexandria (1998), Ariel (2000), Alabaster (2003), Apple Pentacle (2005), and Djinn (2008). John-Krol's work is often compared to that of Loreena McKennitt and Kate Bush. She has collaborated with various artists on projects such as "Love Sessions" with Daemonia Nymphe, Gor, & Lys Artemis, and "Ghost Fish" with Daemonia Nymphe and Nikodemos Triaridis. John-Krol's music has been featured in over a dozen compilations and two film soundtracks. In 2021, she won the Australian Fairy Tale Society Award for her significant contribution to fairy tales in Australia.
