Los Shain's, a Peruvian rock band, formed in late 1963. Initially inspired by The Beatles and The Shadows, they released their first single "Tomahawk" / "Pretty girls everywhere" in 1964. In 1965, Gerardo Manuel joined as vocalist, shifting the band towards surf and garage rock. Their debut album El Ritmo de los Shain's featured Spanish-language covers and original tracks like "Shainâs a Go Go". The band gained popularity, performing on TV shows and releasing three more albums: Volumen Dos (1967), Docena Tres (1968), and Instrumental's (1968). They contributed to the soundtrack of the Mexican film Las Psicodélicas in 1968. The band disbanded at the end of 1968 but reunited in 2006 for concerts, celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2013 with original members Gerardo Manuel and Pico Ego-Aguirre.
