Biography

Lorenzo SantamarÃa is a Spanish singer who was born as LlorenÃ§ RossellÃ³ Horrach in Santa MarÃa del Camino, Spain, in 1946. He achieved professional recognition between 1966 and 1970 as the leader of the rock ensemble Z-66 and is famous for his success in the melodic song genre during the 1970s. SantamarÃa launched a solo career in 1970 and released the single âCanto al amorâ (1971) through the label OdeÃ³n. His discography includes the eponymous studio recording Lorenzo SantamarÃa (1973) and the studio recording Para que no me olvides (1975). In 1976, he achieved two Number 1 hits with the tracks âPara que no me olvidesâ and âSi tÃº fueras mi mujerâ. Following a career in acting, he returned to music with the Catalan-language studio recording Entre cella i cella (1985). His later work includes the studio recording Pell de gallina (2012) and a 2023 compilation of 25 iconic songs. Between 2023 and 2026, he performed a farewell tour across Latin America and Spain.
