Biography
Lorenzo Frizzera is an Italian guitarist. As a teenager, he began transcribing the works of influential jazz musicians such as Charlie Parker and Miles Davis, as well as guitarists like Pat Metheny and John Scofield. Frizzera earned his diploma from Centro Professione Musica in Milan and received encouragement from Pat Metheny to pursue a career in music. He initially worked as a session musician with pop artists including Anna Oxa and Tullio De Piscopo, and later explored ethnic music studies with bands like The Rhythm Factory and Horanueva. In 2008, Frizzera formed the Lorenzo Frizzera Trio with Heiko Jung and Matthias Eichhorn, releasing their album Everything Can Change. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable musicians such as Jimmy Cobb, Joey DeFrancesco, and Stefano Bollani.
