Biography
Loadstar was a British electronic music duo from Bristol formed in 2010 by Gavin "Xample" Harris and Nick "Lomax" Hill. They met while Harris was studying at Liverpool University and Hill was part of the production trio Holdtight. Their first release under the Loadstar alias was the single "Link to the Past" / "Rapidas" (2010). In 2011, they gained significant traction with singles like "Space Between" / "BLVD" (2011) and collaborations with artists such as Hadouken!, Chase & Status, and Jess Mills. Their debut album Future Perfect (2013) featured guest appearances from Scrufizzer, Takura, and others. The album included the popular track "Black & White" (2012), which garnered over one million YouTube views. They released a second studio album I Need the Night (2017) before disbanding in 2020.
