Liz Overs is a Sussex-based singer-songwriter and folklorist whose debut solo album, Nightjar, released in March 2025, weaves together traditional English folk songs and original compositions. Previously known as Liz Pearson, she was part of the '90s duo Pocket Size, achieving a U.S. club chart-topping hit, and later led the folk group Chalk Horse Music. Since 2018, Liz Overs has hosted a radio show exploring Sussex's music, folklore, and social history. Nightjar reflects her deep connection to nature and myth, featuring collaborations with Neill MacColl, Ben Nicholls, and David Tomlins.
