Biography

Little Red is an Australian pop and rock band formed in 2005 in Melbourne. The group consisted of Adrian Beltrame on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Dominic Byrne on guitar and vocals, Quang Dinh on bass guitar and vocals, Tom Hartney on harmonica, keyboard and vocals, and Taka Honda on drums. Little Red gained initial recognition by winning the 2008 Australia-wide Garage to V competition held by Virgin Mobile, securing a slot at all shows of the Australian V Festival that year. They also performed at notable festivals such as the Falls Festival, Meredith Music Festival, the Big Day Out, the Pyramid Rock Festival and the Laneway Festival. Their debut five-track extended play, Get Ready!, was released in April 2008, followed by their first album, Listen to Little Red, on June 28, 2008, which debuted at number 29 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band's second album, Midnight Remember, released in September 2010, peaked at number 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart and featured their highest-charting single, "Rock It", which reached the top 20 on the ARIA Singles Chart and gained gold accreditation for shipment of 35,000 copies. At the EG Awards of 2010, Little Red won Best New Talent. The band disbanded in August 2012.
