Lil Tracy - formerly known as Yung Bruh - was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, but moved to Virginia Beach at a young age. As a teenager, Jazz Butler, as he is known by his real name, was already very interested in music, including punk, emo and witch house, as well as unorthodox rap. Butler leaves Thraxxhouse and changes his stage name to Lil Tracy in 2016. in 2017, he is even more productive under his new name. With Lil Peep collaborations such as "White Wine" (2016) and the single "Awful Things" (2017), his audience grows considerably. During this time, he releases EPs with Peep and Lil Raven Lil Tracy tapes such as Tracy World, Tracy's Manga and Life of a Popstar. Peep's death in late 2017 and Jazz Butler's near-fatal heart attack early the next year gave extra gravitas to Lil Tracy's subsequent releases, which include the EPs Sinner (2018) and Anarchy (2019). Designer Talk 2, a full-length follow-up to his 2018 EP Designer Talk, will be released in 2020, and two previously released collaborative mixtapes with Peep called Castles and Castles II will be released more widely in 2021.
