Katherine Mariko Zhang, known professionally as Lil Mariko, was born on March 1, 1996, in Taipei. She is an American rapper who spent most of her childhood in Houston, Texas. Her first single, "Where's My Juul??", released in 2019 with producer Jared Soule (Full Tac), became a viral hit across YouTube and Spotify. The track reflects Zhangâs heavy metal background and interest in 1990s rave music. Her debut self-titled EP, Lil Mariko, was released in 2021, featuring previous singles "Don't Touch" (2020) and "Shiny" (2020). She collaborated with artists such as Dorian Electra and Rico Nasty, and performed at events including the CTM Festival in Berlin and Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds. In September 2023, she appeared in Doja Cat's music video for "Agora Hills".
