Fahd Azam, known professionally as Mr. Capone-E, was born on April 27, 1976, in Peshawar, Pakistan, and later moved to West Covina, California. He began his career in hip-hop while incarcerated at the age of 18. Mr. Capone-E released his debut album, Mr. Capone E & The Southsiders, independently through Hi-Power Entertainment in 2000, which led to a distribution deal with Thump Records. His subsequent albums included Last Man Standing (2001) and Dedicated 2 The Oldies (2003), the latter reportedly selling over one million records. Notable collaborations include "I Like It" featuring Nate Dogg on the album Always And Forever (2004). In 2006, Mr. Capone-E left Thump Records due to unpaid royalties and released Don't Get It Twisted, which peaked at number 18 on the Top Heatseekers Album Chart.
