Les Cadavres is a French punk rock ensemble from Paris established in 1979. The group consists of the musicians Vérole, Jérôme, Cyril, Bertrand, and Abdelou. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by punk rock and being a prominent part of the 1980s French punk movement. The ensemble was founded by the musicians Vérole, Krapo, Christophe, Gil, and Magouille. Their recording career began with the split recording Rien n'a changé (1982) with the ensemble Vatican. Les Cadavres achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Le Temps passe, le souvenir reste (1984) released on the label New Wave Records. Their discography included the studio recording Aujourd'hui les roses, demain la mandragore (1987) and the studio recording Les Salauds vont en enfer (1988). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Existence saine (1989) and the studio recording Le Bonheur c'est simple comme un coup de fil (1991). They achieved professional recognition for performing a sold-out concert at the Bataclan in April 1993 where the live recording Paris sous la pluie was produced. Their recording career included the studio recording L'Art de mourir (1993) and the studio recording Autant en emporte le sang (1996). Les Cadavres achieved professional recognition for resuming activity in 2013 and releasing the studio recording Au terminus de l'histoire (2013).
