Guilty Razors was a French punk rock group that was active from 1975 to 1978. Influenced by bands like The Stooges and the Velvet Underground, they became part of the nascent punk scene alongside Métal Urbain and Asphalt Jungle. They performed at venues such as Le Gibus and the Olympia, where they played the final set of a punk festival before the audience destroyed the seats. In 1978, their debut single âI Don't Wanna Be a Richâ was released by Polydor but was soon pulled from shelves. The group disbanded later that year due to internal conflicts and drug problems. Post-breakup, singer Tristam Nada released as Tristan the single âBonne, bonne humeur ce matinâ, which reached number 51 on the sales chart. In 2006, the compilation album Guilty! was released by Seventeen Records and Guerilla Asso. They also participated in the 1978 live compilation Le Rock d'Ici à l'Olympia and were featured in the 2016 compilation Punk 45: Les Punks - The French Connection: The First Wave of Punk 1977-80 with the songs âHurts and Noisesâ and âI Don't Wanna Be a Richâ. Tristan, born Pascal Dequatremare, died on August 5, 2026, at the age of 68.
