Dyérys de Paula Mattos, better known as Paula Mattos, was born on October 16, 1988, in Campoâ¯Grande, Matoâ¯Grandeâ¯doâ¯Sul, Brazil. She began songwriting at ageâ¯12 and performing in local bars at 15. In 2015 she released her debut EP Acústico, featuring collaborations with Thaemeâ¯&â¯Thiago and other regional acts, which launched her into national attention. She moved into a more collaboration-driven phase with the EP Copo e Alma (2019), which included âBoa Sorteâ featuring Dilsinho, and the album Livre (2019), while also keeping a parallel reputation as a writerâcredited on songs recorded by other major names in the scene, including Matheus & Kauan and the MarÃlia Mendonça / Maiara & Maraisa circle. In the 2020s, she continued releasing new material with standalone singles in 2022 and then a concept-style return in 2024 with the Elementos releases, including Elementos: FOGO and Elementos: TERRA (Ao Vivo), keeping her catalog centered on modern sertanejo heartbreak and radio-ready refrains. 2025 saw the release of the live EP Estrada Session, followed by the single "Estrada Session, Pt. 2" a few months later.
