Biography

Son of successful singer Tino Rossi and actress Lilia Vetti, Laurent Rossi (1948-2015) launched his career in the late 1960s, recording a dozen singles into the 1980s. Although he failed to make a real impact on the variety scene, the charming singer gained notoriety thanks to other achievements: the 1974 disco hit "El Bimbo" by the group Bimbo Jet created with Claude Morgan, the soccer anthem "Forza Bastia, forza Corsica" (1978) and the main theme of the film Notre histoire (1984). After his father's death in 2003, Laurent Rossi took over the family and musical heritage. He died of a heart attack on August 20, 2015, at the age of 67.
