Born on February 15, 1997 in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, Dylan Sylla Gahoussou was introduced to music by his father, a Congolese rumba musician. He emerged from the Saint-Denis scene under the stage name Landy - his first name in slang - thanks to a freestyle, "Le Fruit", and above all the track "En bas de chez moi", which was a great success on his video channel, with almost twelve million views. His ascent continued with the sulphurous "Skalape ", a track in which he unreservedly assumes his gangsta rapper image, reaching one million views. His lyrics resonate with his legal career, as he is serving a prison sentence in Fleury-Mérogis at the same time as his "En I" video is a huge hit on the web. March 2019 sees the release of his first album, Assa Baing, on which he is joined for duets by Heuss l'Enfoiré, Marwa Loud, Dadju and Jul. This is followed in 2020 by A-One, which features duets with other heavyweights on the French rap scene, including Ninho, Soolking and Koba LaD, and is accompanied by the singles "Aucune limite", "Filon" and "Millions d'euros". More on the back burner in 2022, in 2023 he released the track "Vie d'avant", the prelude to the album Brave, which peaked at number four in the French album charts. This was followed by the singles "Viral " and "Maybach" (recorded with Gazo). In 2024, Landy returned with the single "R.U.E" with Kima, followed by "G8". After further singles and collaborations with Fresh laDouille, Tiakola and Genezio, MC Menor JP, Franglish, Pistach and Graya, Landy returned in 2026 with the album Sombre Mélodie, No. 5 on the SNEP albums chart, featuring the singles "Ronnie Kray", "R.I.P.", "Beaux quartiers" and "Ko Samui".
