Biography

Lande Hekt, born in Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom, emerged as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bass player within the British indie rock scene. After forming Muncie Girls with Dean McMullen in 2010 at Exeter College, Hekt released two studio albums, Uncle M (2016) and Animal Style (2018), before the band disbanded in 2023. She selfâreleased the EP Gigantic Disappointment in 2019, then launched her solo debut Going to Hell (2021) on Get Better Records, followed by House Without a View (2022) on the same label. In 2025 she issued the single "Favourite Pair of Shoes" and announced Lucky Now (2026) for Tapete Records, marking a continued presence in the UK rock circuit.
