Biography

Lalla Rami, born in 2000 in KÃ©nitra (Morocco), is a Moroccan rapper and singer based in France. Inspired by chaÃ¢bi, US rap and figures like Oum Kalthoum, BeyoncÃ© and Nicki Minaj, she left Morocco in 2019 for Paris, where she collaborated with DJ KennyBoy, SÃ©bastien Boumati and BuldozBeats. After featuring on Janis'"SMTH", she unveiled her first single"Inchallah" in 2022, a hard-hitting track in which she asserts her identity and resilience. Blending Darija, French and English, her music oscillates between introspection and protest, refusing to be reduced to her identity as a trans woman. Inspired as much by Nicki Minaj as by Hajja El Hamdaouia, her unique style shakes up codes and enriches the French rap scene.
