Biography
La Poderosa Banda San Juan formed in February 2010 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, when seventeen experienced young musiciansâincluding horn, percussion, and vocalists led by their vocal frontmanâbanded together under producer Fernando Camacho to create a fresh, dynamic take on banda. After honing their sound across local fairs, they released their debut album Malo Corazón (2011), featuring standout tracks like âSi ella supiera,â âMe gustarÃa,â and âCiego,â which quickly gained regional radio play. In 2014, the group followed up with El Antes y el Después, spawning hits such as the title track, âDisculpa corazón,â âTengo novia,â âJustamente ahora,â and âClaro,â which solidified their reputation in the national Regional Mexican scene. Their third release, Perro de Rancho (2017), mixed eight original songs with five cover tracks and included fan favorites âPasito perrón,â âSu mal modo,â and âSin esencia.â Most recently, in August 2024, they released the full-length album Señales, led by singles âEl Que Me La Hace Me La Pagaâ and âLa Vida De Un Borracho,â both charting on Regional Mexican radio.
