Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, known professionally as Kwesta, was born on August 11, 1988, in Katlehong, Gauteng. At age 15, he formed the rap group The Ghetto Fellaz, which changed its name to The Juvenylz that same year. In 2007, he released his first single "Sharp Fede" and collaborated with DJ C-Live on a mixtape. His debut studio album Special ReKwest was released in 2010 under Buttabing Entertainment. His studio album DaKAR II (2016) was certified 7Ã Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa and became South Africaâs best-selling hip-hop album with singles like "Ngud'" featuring Cassper Nyovest. His fifth studio album, g.o.d guluva, released in 2021, peaked at number 4 on the South African Top 100 Albums chart. He has won multiple awards including six South African Music Awards and one MTV Africa Music Award.
